From Cardiff International Airport

The airport is located 12 miles outside Cardiff City Centre, and 20 miles from the University of Glamorgan. You can get a taxi directly from the airport to the University which will cost approximately £35. Cardiff Airport Taxis are available for hire 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For wheelchair bound passengers, Cardiff Airport Taxis have a specially adapted taxi, with hydraulic lift access, which can comfortably accommodate 2 wheelchairs plus 6 seated passengers.

 

There is no direct public transport link from Cardiff Airport to the University of Glamorgan.

 

 

Bus

You can catch a bus to Cardiff city centre and then a train to Trefforest. There are regular bus services from the airport to Cardiff city centre that cost approximately £4 and take about 40 minutes.


The Airbus Xpress X91, the X45 Shamrock bus and the 95 Cardiff bus operate between the airport and the city centre approximately every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 7am-7pm, then hourly between 7.36pm and 10.36pm. The X5 First Cymru Service operates hourly on Sundays between 8.15am and 9.35pm.

Train

A rail link connects Cardiff International Airport (Rhoose) and Cardiff Central station. Rhoose train station is 1 mile from the airport and so a courtesy shuttle bus is provided which links the airport with Rhoose train station.Trains run on an hourly basis. On arrival in Cardiff Central you will need to catch a connection to Trefforest station.
